The Free Software Foundation Europe and the Software Freedom Conservancy recently released a statement that they would no longer work with Eben Moglen, chairman of the Software Freedom Law Center.

A person with heart problems decided to use a pacemaker, a device that controls the heart beating rate, and went on to discover that pacemaker had been set incorrectly, presumably due to a software bug.

The software is proprietary. She doesn't have its source code and learning how it works is illegal.

The device has remote monitoring capabilities, so someone else controls her heart.
