One of the really cool things that Kate does that Gnome Builder does not is insert all of the text characters in the same order I typed them 😎

aeva (aeva@mastodon.gamedev.place)'s status on Sunday, 16-Apr-2023 23:03:46 CEST aeva Looks like Kate is likely to be perfect for me needs! Which is great, because that's what I already use for Lua. Thanks everyone!

aeva (aeva@mastodon.gamedev.place)'s status on Sunday, 16-Apr-2023 23:03:46 CEST aeva I'm in need of a Linux C++ IDE recommendation. I normally use Visual Studio (the regular one, not the other one) on Windows. I need something that has good syntax highlight, go to declaration, go to definition, show whitespace, and code bookmarks. Also this laptop has a very tiny screen. I was using gnome builder, but the lack of bookmarks makes it very tedious.
All people who reply with "emacs", "vim", or "vi" will be retrieved by goons and forcibly taken to an undisclosed location.

aeva (aeva@mastodon.gamedev.place)'s status on Sunday, 12-Feb-2023 22:32:25 CET aeva Is Guile cross platform? The docs only mention using it on Linux, and I only see official binaries for Linux...?
EDIT: I'm trying to target Windows
EDIT: I'm looking to use Guile specifically, because I want to use Spritely Goblins, so another scheme is not suitable. Racket is out of question, because embedding Racket is broken on one of the platforms my project supports and the maintainers are unwilling to fix it.
EDIT: My question has been answered to my satisfaction.
