TIL I can use `|` instead of tuples in isinstance() checks since #Python 3.10.

Sometimes I joke that I’m self-sabotaging by writing about stuff nobody cares about. But someone cares. I do. And I want more content like that to exist, so I don’t have to figure it out myself and blog about it. I’m trying to be the change in the world that I want to see, but it’s lonely.

You get people producing content about stuff they know nothing about b/c it’s a trending topic—ideally with an incendiary slant: X is OVER! Y is the FUTURE! You’re doing Z WRONG! N tools/packages you MUST be using!

You get an endless stream of the most basic, repetitive, unoriginal 🤯 stuff b/c there’s an endless supply of beginners.

YouTube is particularly guilty of those, but social media threads & conf talks are competing HARD.
