If you're having trouble with your Gmail account in Thunderbird today, it might be due to Google now requiring OAuth 2.0 authentication.

Thunderbird SHOULD transition your account automatically, but if you're not able to connect, try going into your Gmail Account's Server Settings and manually changing "Authentication Method" to OAuth2 (it should NOT be "Normal.")

Landing on Thunderbird Daily later today: global font size setting control.

This will allow you to change the font size of the entire application, independently from the zoom level of single messages.

It currently doesn't work for dialogs, but it's a start. More improvements soon

QUESTION: Any plans to improve Dark Mode? In some situations (e.g. forwarding a message), one gets dark letters on a black background.

ANSWER: Absolutely. We are continually working on improving Dark Mode and recognize that there are areas to make it better. Many of our developers are Dark Mode users too -- they want it be as perfect as you do!

One of the most important feature requests we've heard from you is "WHERE THE HECK IS MY #THUNDERBIRD MOBILE APP?"
