@xerz but the GBA has some kind of a 3D engine doesn't it?
No GPU. No FPU. No primitive raycasting or Mode7-like trickery. You use whatever RAM you have wisely to do static calculations with lookup tables. And then the 3D magic happens.
@xerz afaik it has some 3d rendering capabilities, that's why most of the games show that in one way or another... where did I see that?
@ekaitz_zarraga nope, just two CPUs, an ARM7TDMI and the Game Boy’s Sharp SM83
@ekaitz_zarraga sometimes actual 3D models would be rendered, but it’s always the CPU rendering them
@ekaitz_zarraga no, that’s the “mode 7-like” I just mentioned. You can project a 2D plane and then put whatever you want on top.
