   Regular reminder Mastodon ActivityPub and the Fediverse have nothing to do with "web3" or "crypto", at all.

   It's a DHT behind ActivityPub AFAIK. Not "crypto" technology but boring old computer science.

     Actually whenever you block a server or use the #fediblock hashtag, it creates a block which is added to the block chain. This is stored in the DHT called balls and it mints a 10grans token for the developers.

     @winstonsmith I don't think ActivityPub uses a DHT. And blockchain is still computer science.
