   Writing in a language that is not your own (even if you master it) is always a challenge and leads to not using the right style or terms.
   In my experience, the most patient people with my speaking or writing in the different languages I speak (EN, FR, DE) have been people who also speak other languages.
   Perhaps a little empathy would help non-native speakers improve their skills.

     It is necessary to talk about #English "#colonialism" in terms of #science. Let me explain: if someone wants to publish in important journals or conferences, he/she has to do it in English.
     I don't think it is wrong to have a common language to communicate, what I do think is unfair is to compare my way of writing with that of a #native #speaker.
