Scuttlebutt seems to be a leader in coordinating development of scuttlebutt by using scuttlebutt, to the extent of rolling their own decentralized version of github, git-ssb.

ActivityPub can also do that using all the various versions in the fediverse, but I am not sure how much it is actually done. Is anybody using GitPub yet?

We are trying to do that in our in-process P2P economic network.
