Learning programming languages (syntax etc) is possible. But it may not be that important. Learning programming itself is much more important. When you know how to program you can solve problems using whatever programming language you want, but if you just learn a programming language you might not be able to solve problems at all because you know every detail of that language but not how to use it. I'm at a point where I work with 3 programming languages in parallel and I don't even have to rethink every time when I use another one. The basic concepts are the same in many programming languages and syntax can be learned easily.
