   Someone who has experience contributing packages to #Guix can help me a bit?

   What's the philosophy here?

   I have to make the compilation of everything or is it just ok if I download the binaries?

   What should I do?

     If you just want your package to work, you can use a binary (although they often make assumptions that aren't true on the guix system). If your goal is to send these as patches to guix proper, you should build everything from source.
