We should rewrite LibGDX in #Clojure
We would learn a lot and we can make a Liberapay team for it or something. These days I've been reading some Java and I feel powerful LOL

A lot of fun. Just random code... No dependencies (only JNA for one thingie).
I still wonder why I'm coding this... but I'm doing it.
Learning maybe? -

There's only one reason #clopher #clojureI'm going mad.

Ekaitz Zárraga 👹 (ekaitz_zarraga@mastodon.social)'s status on Sunday, 17-Mar-2019 19:35:23 CET Ekaitz Zárraga 👹 Started to publish some of the code I'm making at:
https://gitlab.com/ekaitz-zarraga/clopher/tree/masterIt's a #Clojure #Gopher client but that's only the excuse to create some code and learn about Java things you have to use from clojure and some #Terminal #UI
It contains all the stuff I've been talking about during these days.
I'll keep adding stuff.
Comments are welcome!

Ekaitz Zárraga 👹 (ekaitz_zarraga@mastodon.social)'s status on Sunday, 17-Mar-2019 16:46:14 CET Ekaitz Zárraga 👹 So!
I have a working library to access some native #POSIX Terminal interface from #Clojure using Java Native Interface #JNA.It's a piece of cake to do it, to be honest, if you finally know what you are doing.
I have to write a blogpost about this, put everything in a package and upload it to #clojars maybe.
Also write some Readme stuff and documentation...

Ekaitz Zárraga 👹 (ekaitz_zarraga@mastodon.social)'s status on Sunday, 17-Mar-2019 00:33:14 CET Ekaitz Zárraga 👹 So my #Clojure Terminal UI thingie is working in my environment.
Work for tomorrow is:
- Decide how it should work
- Move everything to a well defined library
- Hide all the internal bullshit from the user
- Publish it? -
Ekaitz Zárraga 👹 (ekaitz_zarraga@mastodon.social)'s status on Friday, 15-Mar-2019 22:23:10 CET Ekaitz Zárraga 👹 I don't know if I'm happy with this but I made some #Clojure code that calls a #Java class I made that calls some #C native library on my system.
This is getting more serious than I wanted.
I have to write about this in my blog or something.

So... yeah... making some POSIX Terminal access from Clojure.

Ekaitz Zárraga 👹 (ekaitz_zarraga@mastodon.social)'s status on Thursday, 14-Mar-2019 20:59:35 CET Ekaitz Zárraga 👹 Why is my fucking #Clojure code waiting to a EOL to get stuff if I'm calling a read which is supposed to get just one char?
WHAT THE FUCK?
Should I flush anything?
What's going on here?

Ekaitz Zárraga 👹 (ekaitz_zarraga@mastodon.social)'s status on Thursday, 14-Mar-2019 13:46:42 CET Ekaitz Zárraga 👹 So now I need to get all the input introduced to the terminal by my #clojure program in a separate loop and update my stuff according to that.
That loop needs to be able to read by character and get escape sequences to understand if something cool happened.
Am I shaving too many yaks?

https://www.youtube.com/embed/Sjb6y19YIWg
I don't really think I'm going to implement the solutions he proposes because my code is often fast and dirty, but it's good for those projects than finally need some real code.
