I got an email asking how my job at OokTech is treating me and how I should start using a job finding service that was discrete and wouldn't let my boss know I was using it.

Their lack of research into who they are targeting doesn't fill me with confidence in their service.

As an engineer that is ABD on a PHD and has been working in industry for a few years, this is my professional analysis of the current state of digital security:

Today has been less than wonderful.

We named a component that is used in production the expandotron. I am quite happy with this.

Also I started it out of spite because another person in the group was a dick when I offered to help with his project. So I made something that worked better.

I am now sitting next to the Celluloid Nightmare and reaching over and manually winding the take up reel every minute or so. This is how #engineering is done.

I guess I didn't just make the wiki stuff out of spite. I also needed something that I made that I could use to organise and keep track of my stuff.

Because I am very bad at using things that I didn't make.

Today is Friday, which is PHD day.

Felicity is sitting next to me to make sure I actually do some work. It is better than her not being here but I Still dislike this stuff.

Now I need to decide between setting up the hosting service thing I want to have for tiddlywiki and playing with hyperswarm.

I am also trying to find a way to explain the difference between a Saas business model and a managed hosting business model for people who don't know what they are talking about. So far I haven't had much success.

I finally got the print started for the oni ring Ekaitz designed. Now we will see if I did the supports and stuff correctly or not.

And by 'now' I mean in like 20 minutes after enough has printed for me to tell.

I want send some people christmas cards but postage to the US is about 1.5 euros each so I have to limit how many get sent, because I also have to eat.

I have spent today away from the computer for the most part and now it is time for bed.
