I just realised that the only job I ever got paid specifically for writing code was in php.

Well, the good news is that the people who made the survey about data collection responded and said that I wasn't the only one who emailed them about ethical concerns and that the would certainly mention that in their results.

I am not sure if insurance unions exist. If not than they probably should.

By insurance union I mean the insurance equivalent of a credit union, a non-profit collective that joins together in order to provide the service because it is needed by the members, not as a vehicle to make money off of the members.

Insurance has always felt weird to me.

On one hand it is great, it is a way to sort of formalise the shared risk we assume by participating in a culture. I really want us (as a species/culture) to continue on this path and to improve it.

Then there are insurance companies which employ people whose only job is figuring out how to fuck you over most effectively as the core of their business model.
