mischievous bun (kaniini@pleroma.site)'s status on Sunday, 14-Jul-2019 13:16:41 CEST mischievous bun by the way if anyone wants a managed pleroma instance (you bring your own domain) for "whatever you feel like paying", feel free to inquire
the downside is that your instance will be running my personal branch of pleroma, which occasionally does not match whatever is in mainline. -

if it meant that you could have *real* privacy, and *real* features, and you could choose whether or not to take the risk of exposure to the ActivityPub fediverse, would you support using a superior 'native' protocol for federation? -
mischievous bun (kaniini@pleroma.site)'s status on Saturday, 25-May-2019 02:15:52 CEST mischievous bun Qt: any widget can override the theme by attaching it's own QStyle
GTK: can't do that, leaving developers to beg vendors to stop theming their apps
but it's Qt that's broken ;) -

don’t learn something like Go.

mischievous bun (kaniini@pleroma.site)'s status on Monday, 04-Feb-2019 01:14:43 CET mischievous bun for all the shit people give Gargron, you do have to recognize that he was so moved by the abuses of proprietary social media services that instead of working for a tech company and becoming part of the problem, he did something about it.
yes. Gargron is not perfect. but, none of us are. there is no single person who is absolutely free of sin.
yes. there's a lot of things I disagree with him about, like the 300k user instance that is mastodon.social, and the way half of Mastodon's features are designed.
but that doesn't change the fact that he chose to be part of the solution instead of part of the problem. and so, as part of my yearly review of what I'm sponsoring on Patreon I decided to give him some of those resources. In conversation from pleroma.site permalink -

please participate in my survey concerning fediverse software development.
it will help to influence how Pleroma and other fediverse project development is done in the future.
please also consider boosting this, so more people will take the survey.

mischievous bun (kaniini@pleroma.site)'s status on Wednesday, 10-Oct-2018 17:15:32 CEST mischievous bun because the alpine community amongst others stood their ground and applied pressure on microsoft to stop abusing software patents, we got 60k of them off the table.
but we need to keep them honest, they can't be allowed to use our work and then go back to their old ways.
watch carefully.In conversation from pleroma.site permalink -
mischievous bun (kaniini@pleroma.site)'s status on Monday, 24-Sep-2018 10:35:25 CEST mischievous bun I find it ironic that some have adopted the fediverse because they feel that the intelligence agencies aren't spying on them here, when it's trivial to intercept the messages as a third party In conversation from pleroma.site permalink -
