got the sample of Boundary Devices Nitrogen8M i.MX8M SOM we’re gonna use as the first CPU/GPU/RAM module in MNT Reform 2. pretty high end process on this one.
also nice: 1. all component references on silkscreen 2. various testpoints with labels 3. full schematics for download on website (!)
@ekaitz_zarraga i chose this one because it has a mode where it presents the flash as a USB mass storage device. so you don’t need any programmer, just copy a file over. software/firmware for it can be built with GCC http://microbuilder.io/LPC11U_LPC13U_CodeBase/
What are your tools/strategies to select analog components like FETs, inductors, chokes, schottkys etc? I have a feeling I’m losing a lot of time on these
i’m thinking about using 8x 18650 standard sized LiFePO4 batteries in Reform, which would yield an average 12Ah @ 3.2V / 3Ah @ 12.8V. the big advantage would be that people could easily acquire new cells and swap them out without hassle. what do you think?
I’m looking for a consultant regarding EU funding for MNT Reform (open source hardware portable computer/platform), maybe in the context of Horizon 2020 or similar. Please RT
