I've updated one of my generalistic conda env and after knowing of all the updates of the different libs is whem I'm aware of the hard and beautiful work being done by hundreds, thousands of people out there.

@spencer Choosing the right one is the puzzling part except if you use Any everywhere 😅
I think the basics are ok but when you want to annotate some more complex parts is when you start wondering about the best/right way to do it.

@astrojuanlu yes, that's true. It is difficult to be up to date. But something defining the basics, some more stable advanced stuff and the tooling would have its value.

Imagine we have two series: +ref and +other. +ref and +other represent the same but sometimes there is a shit in +other with respect to +ref. This shift is sometimes forwards and sometimes backwards but very close to +ref. +other could be very good for instance to quantify extremes but it could be degraded by these shifts in something like a linear regr. Is there any statistical technique that could help to improve those shifts in +other or to quantify how "good" or "bad" is +other against +ref?

@mkennedy docs are ok as a reference but if you want to start from zero or give advice to others you are doomed @talkpython
