   I installed Emacs with Guix and it's not in my Gnome desktop

   How do I get that ?

     It seems @aral was right

     I restarted the laptop and now Emacs DOES show up and it runs !

     sorry for being unclear

     I installed Guix the package manager on top of Ubuntu 21.10

     Are you runnong guixSD or guix on another linux distribution? Maybe your bash/shell profile isn't set up correctly.
