     @caesarologia @aral I always throw a bunch of markdown in a folder. Sparkleshare to sync it, Typora to edit tidily. It combines to form a networked note-taking system that works really well

     @caesarologia @aral nextcloud with the notes app, or with your favorite text editor and a simple folder of text files. I use a combination of orgzly and snotepad on mobile and vscode on the desktop. Markor is another option if you want richer editing.

     @qwazix @caesarologia @aral Btw, there are also nice Android apps for Nextcloud Notes and it integrates nicely in GNOME Notes. But at the end it is "just" text files with some markdown. If you are looking for something more Evernote-like I heard many good things about Joplin, which syncs with Nextcloud as well, if you wish. https://joplin.cozic.net/

     syncthing on desktop and mobile, used to keep a folder full of markdown files and images in sync. Markor to edit on android, vim on desktop. Various tools to search.

     I escaped everrnote to this and never looked back.
