   @technomancy @alexjgriffith I don't know lua but I believe you. I am speaking from personal experience, after doing Land of Lisp and much else before that I was like "oh why is lisp 1 so weird" and now it's the other way around. I can't say what's the average experience is like.

     @charlag @alexjgriffith yeah, that's consistent with my understanding that it depends completely on your background. often the primary difficulty in learning a new language is unlearning the limitations which no longer apply that you never even consciously recognized but still shaped your thinking.
