@roptat @bensturmfels @alice Specifically, there’s a ‘static-web-site’ service that periodically rebuilds a web site from a Git repo, using Guix:https://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/guix/maintenance.git/tree/hydra/modules/sysadmin/web.scm?id=7b64119236f3b02c9635b3400cc0327473bdca18#n120
@civodul Very interesting article, thanks for sharing ! @bensturmfels
(@ both of you) Regarding the possible future developments listed at the end of the article, what are your views regarding the deployment of static websites, and more generally, websites, with guix ? Should they take the form of “packages” and should those packages be used in nginx’ configuration to make it look into the proper (/gnu/store/…) folders to serve the content ? In that case would one need to write a particular build system to do so or are there already tools to do that in guix ? Or maybe an entirely different way to do it ?
@aliceYou can have a look at how the guix website and the manuals are generated :)
